RE: John Doe
John’s dental records show that in 2003 he had a “fixed partial denture”, also commonly known as a bridge, constructed for his six upper anterior teeth. This bridge is made out of porcelain fused to a noble gold alloy.
The Ceramco porcelain glass is extremely dense, and has a glazed surface. It is baked at high temperatures to fuse the porcelain into a solid glass mass, and eliminating any voids that could trap air or moisture. Similar to a drinking glass, it would not retain alcohol in the material itself.
The gold alloy is "Legacy" alloy, made by Jelenko. It would not retain alcohol either.
Please call me if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Dr. _______
